Blaine population increased from 61,395 to 74,876 in 10 years – an 18% increase. Our property value and tax levy proposals are the highest in metro area. In 10 years, the population increases 18%, and the levy increases 94.7%!!! Astonishing! For 2025, our estimated home values will only increase 3.8% and we still have one of the lowest median home values amongst our peer cities.
Our leadership has some explaining to do!
There’s something wrong with this picture. Can someone help us understand this? This might be a great example to share with City Council and drive home this group’s mission statement:
“Slow the Growth.”
